What Are Dental Veneers?

Simply put, veneers are thin ceramic shells that can be placed on top of the teeth. They are able to conceal a variety of aesthetic imperfections by changing the apparent size, shape, color, and alignment of your teeth, allowing you to completely change how your smile looks to others.

Our veneers are made from an incredibly high-quality ceramic, providing them with a level of durability and realism that can be difficult to achieve with any other cosmetic treatment.

The Process of Getting Veneers

As with any aesthetic treatment, we will begin by bringing you in for a consultation. We will talk with you about what you’re looking for and how veneers could potentially help you.

Once we’ve settled on a treatment plan for you, we’ll take sophisticated digital impression of your teeth, and will use this information to design what your veneers are going to look like. You will work with your doctor and our ceramist during this process to make sure that you’re satisfied with your eventual results.

In order to make room for the veneers, a small portion of your enamel will need to be removed. After trimming this away, we’ll cover your teeth with a set of temporary veneers while we craft your permanent restoration in our in-house dental lab. Once these are done, we’ll bring you in to finally put your cosmetics into place.

Benefits of Veneers

We’ve touched on some of the factors that separate veneers from other cosmetic treatments already. For one, they’re capable of addressing a wide variety of aesthetic issues all at once, and over an incredibly short time frame. However, their merits don’t end here.

The veneers themselves are made from high-quality ceramics, making them resistant to stains. They’re also remarkably durable, regularly lasting around 15 years before needing to be replaced. Finally, the ceramic we use imparts remarkable realism—nobody will know you’ve had dental work done unless you decide to tell them.

If you are interested in experiencing all that veneers can offer firsthand, or if you just want to learn more, feel free to schedule a consultation with us. We’d love to talk to you about how this cosmetic treatment could change your life for the better.
